A Search for a Thing Called Mercy and Grace

“So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive His mercy, and we will find grace to help in our time of need.” ~ Hebrews 4:16

Where do we go to find mercy? Where do we go to find grace? All the mercy and grace we need only be found at the throne of God, but we often seek others to supply us with these things only to be disappointed. Yes, it is true, we can find someone in a moment who is full of grace, that rare person who probably filled up on mercy and grace in his time of need, and then out of his abundance, pours out what he himself received. However, then that person’s supply gets low because his capacity for grace is limited. The Father God is the only unlimited resource for us. His supply is unending. Instead of going to others who are limited, we can approach the Father for all that we need. What an awesome privilege He has given us in Christ for all who believe! Christ is the key to unlocking the unlimited supply of all we need. If only we would come to Him! He is waiting.

  1. Most definitely – more grace needed daily! I am grateful for God’s never-ending supply and the fact that we can approach Him for all we need. Jesus paid it all and we do not need any other mediator or high priest.
    Well said, thanks for writing!
